Tipping the Velvet

Nan, devastated by Kitty's betrayal becomes a male prostitute, which goes well until one customer decides he wants more than she's offering.

But Nan is rescued in the nick of time, by Diana Lethaby who offers her a position as her own live-in lover, and introduces her to a circle of like minded women.

Nan is swept up in this life of pleasure and perversion, but eventually sickens of her mistress's humiliating actions, particulary when it involves the housemaid, for whom she has now has feelings.
